Summary:

    Technical Training Short On Site Course Quote

      The goal of this workshop course is to develop skills required to effectively manage the schedule and budget of a project. As part of the Triple Constraints, the schedule and budget of a project (and the management thereof) are Key Performance Indicators regarding the success of any project. This course will enable the participants to hone the skills necessary to effectively manage the schedule and budget of a project.

    Prerequisites:

      Students should have taken Overview of Project Management and Leadership and Project Time and Cost Management.

      Ricardo Valerdi, is a Research Associate at MIT and the developer of the COSYSMO model for estimating systems engineering effort. Dr. Valerdi's work has been used by BAE Systems, Boeing, General Dynamics, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and SAIC. Dr. Valerdi is a Visiting Associate of the Center for Systems and Software Engineering at the University of Southern California where he earned his Ph.D. in Industrial & Systems Engineering. Previously, he worked at The Aerospace Corporation, Motorola and General Instrument. He served on the Board of Directors of INCOSE, is an Editorial Advisor of the Journal of Cost Analysis and Parametrics, and is the author of the book The Constructive Systems Engineering Cost Model (COSYSMO): Quantifying the Costs of Systems Engineering Effort in Complex Systems (VDM Verlag, 2008).
