Practical Project Management for Engineers
$895 per person
This Boot Camp is a one-day intensive course that will provide 80/20 Rule solutions to get your project rolling from contract award to delivery. The boot camp will walk you through step-by-step processes on how to deliver robust, high quality products and services while strengthening your team and customer relationships. In this course we compare DoD, NASA, and PMP project lifecycle processes and provide the best practices that work in the real world. The course is solidly practical and uninhibited by theory. We answer your question, “What do I do on Monday?” with directly applicable guidance and software tools. Having read the thousands of pages of guidance from the DoD, NASA, PMP, and the best management practices from Steven Covey and Peter Drucker, we provide you the distilled summarized knowledge and tools you need to deliver your project on-time and on-budget. Because in the real world it is rare to meet schedules, we will cover how to manage recovery plans and customer relationships to continue the further growth of your company. Throughout the course, we will discuss real aerospace program examples and stories from the GLAST program (Gamma Ray Large Area Space Telescope) to help illustrate a practical understanding on what is important in managing projects to get efficient solutions and ensure project success.
