DoD requests $178.8 billion in 2013 for major weapons systems

To keep us US military prowess, DoD requests $178.8 billion in 2013 for it’s various weapons systems and programs. Here is the breakdown. $109.1 billion is for Procurement, and $69.7 billion is for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) programs. To keep us US military prowess, DoD requests $178.8 billion in 2013 for it’s various weapons systems and programs. Here is the breakdown. $109.1 billion is for Procurement, and $69.7 billion is for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) programs. The request includes both Base ($169.7 billion) and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) ($9.1 billion) funding. Of this amount, $72.3 billion is for programs that have been designated as Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAP). You can download full documents here:
