These are my favorite acoustics- and signal processing-related textbooks. ATI's instructors have found the following books useful in the field of acoustics. We have provided recommendations for books that we recommend for purchase for a personal library for the professional working in underwater acoustics (7 books), signal processing (2 books) or commercial in-air acoustics, noise and vibration (4 books). We have also included a complete listing of published books that we are familiar with from our work.

This is a first listing developed with library research and after consultation with ATI's instructors. There are likely gaps in coverage and we may have inadvertently omitted some texts that should be included. We solicit your additions, comments and suggestions via Email to ATIcourses@aol.com .

ATI provides several of these textbooks as part of the materials for our courses. Several of the authors are ATI instructors who are known as the authority in the field. Call if you need information about the texts used in our courses.
